TBSP has long advocated that TB patients need to be able to express themselves about having TB/MDR-TB and being on treatment. Many people find it very useful. However TBSP has always asked for your written stories, but some people find it difficult to express how they feel in words. So welcome to our first photography competition!
The digital age has changed everything. No longer is photographic film the norm, often expensive and even more so to get developed. The main problem with photographic film is that once the picture is taken it is one more exposure used up. Digital cameras give us the chance to see what sort of picture we have taken, and if we don’t like it we can simply delete it!
There used to be a saying that the camera never lies. Today this saying really doesn’t ring true. Imperfections in photographs, every flaw and even more can be tweaked and made perfect with computer software. Such packages also offer the ability to create special and unusual effects. There is a lot of creative fun to have with photography. So let's see what you can do!
All you have to do to enter this competition is to send us your pictures of what TB/MDR-TB means to you and send them into us by email before the 30th September 2010. The winner will be picked at random and get this Vivitar 4090 4MP digital camera. The best entries will be displayed in our online photo gallery.
Please send your entries (in Jpeg or Gif format) to paulthornlondon@hotmail.com
The winner will be announced on the 3rd October 2010.
