New improved and updated website showcased at Paris IUATLD conference

Eiffel Tower - Paris

01/11/06 - The Tuberculosis Survival Project (TBSP) has its new and improved website online. It is being showcased at the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease taking place in Paris this week (1st-5th November). The upgrade was done using new technology to make it easier to introduce more interactive features in the future.

As well as being an opportunity to promote TBSP to the TB community of experts and patient representatives alike, it is an opportunity to collect information.

TBSP is planning to introduce country specific pages whereby website users will be able to find out more about TB in their country, region and locality. We shall be handing out a questionnaire at the conference and will update the site with everything new that we learn during the conference. You will also be able to read others thoughts and comments about TBSP.

You too can help collecting this important data for the website. If you have information about TB services in your country and think it would be beneficially for others to know about please email the editor. Also, keep sending in your personal stories. Feedback tells us that this is one of the most popular aspects of the website. Sharing your story with others helps to reduce the feeling of isolation that a lot of people experience when they have TB and helps to reduce stigma.

We look forward to everyone’s input over the coming week!
