LHL - Norweigan Heart and Lung Foundation

LHL was established in 1943, when patients suffering from TB got organised.
Their aim was to secure the rights of TB patients - social security, health
and jobs. These basic elements continue to be important

The aim of LHL´s work is;

Social equality for the heart and lung affected people

LHL believes in a society for all, which implies that the sick and disabled
should enjoy the same rights as the rest of the population

LHL´s main focus in TB:

Being the patient´s voice through lobbying / advocacy to secure TB patients
in political priorities (national and international levels)
Make sure that TB is still seen as a public health issue
Make sure that the social and psychological problems attached to TB are
being focussed on TB patients´ access to effective treatment
